OUR STORY

Dulce Vida Animal Rescue was born out of heartbreak — and hope.
Founded on 2023, we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding loving homes for abandoned, neglected, and injured animals.

Our heart beats strongest on the streets of Tijuana, Mexico — where every day, we witness the unimaginable suffering of animals left to fend for themselves. That’s where our mission begins.

What started as a single rescue quickly became a movement. Fueled by compassion and an unshakable belief that every animal deserves a Dulce Vida — a sweet life — we’ve created a safe haven where healing begins, second chances bloom, and hope is restored.

OUR MISSION

We rescue. We heal. We rehome.

At Dulce Vida Animal Rescue, our mission is simple but powerful:
To give every animal the life they deserve.

We focus on the most vulnerable — the sick, abused, and forgotten dogs and cats — and work tirelessly to get them healthy, happy, and ready for a forever family.

Our work goes beyond rescue. We partner with local clinics to provide vital spay/neuter services, and we engage our community to promote responsible, compassionate pet ownership.

Everything we do is driven by love, integrity, and the belief that animals are family.

OUR IMPACT

What began as a small act of love has grown into a full-hearted mission to save lives.

Today, Dulce Vida Rescue cares for over 90 rescued animals — including 60 dogs and 2 pigs at our shelter and sanctuary, and 31 more thriving in loving foster homes. Every animal in our care receives the medical attention, safety, and unconditional love they’ve always deserved.

With the support of our incredible community of Dulce Vida Angels — fosters, volunteers, donors, and adopters — we’re giving each rescue a second chance and a future full of hope.

Together, we’re building a world where no animal is forgotten, and every tail gets to wag again.

Thanks to 42,600+ Dulce Vida Angels, we’ve saved hundreds of dogs — plus care for 91 dogs and 2 pigs — and this is only the beginning!
