COCO
“A Love Story With Two Chapters”
Hi, I’m Coco — and though I’ve lived two very different lives, both have been filled with love.
I used to be what you might call a “fresa girl.” My first mom adored me. She cooked me fresh meals every day, took me on walks, let me sit at the table, and treated me like royalty. Life was full of cuddles, comfort, and joy.
But then… everything changed.
My mom got sick. Little by little, our walks grew shorter, and her time in the hospital grew longer. Eventually, she couldn’t take care of me anymore. With a heavy heart, she found someone to care for me temporarily — believing she’d get better and we’d be back together soon.
That day never came.
I waited… but the reunion we dreamed of wasn’t meant to be. Still, my story didn’t end there.
My foster mom? Well, turns out she’s a rescuer — and now, I live in a sanctuary full of love, laughter, and a whole bunch of rescued brothers and sisters. I’ve got snuggle buddies, playmates, and a big open space to be myself, dirt and all.
At this point, there’s no going anywhere — I’m home. For good.
I still carry my first mom in my heart, and I know she’d be proud. She gave me everything she could while she could. And when life made it impossible, she made sure I’d be safe, loved, and never alone.
If you ever find yourself in a place where you can’t care for your dog anymore, I hope you remember this: loving them also means letting them go somewhere safe. Somewhere they’ll be hugged when they miss you, fed when their tummy growls, and cherished — always.
Because every dog deserves that kind of ending… and beginning.
With love from my forever Dulce Vida sanctuary,
— Coco.
